Gems! Are you ready for an amazing Labor Day weekend? I hope you have wonderful weather and a spectacular time no matter where you are on this amazing globe of ours!

Almost home from Japan! I can’t wait to tell you all about our incredible experience with ShopChannel Japan and all of the amazing people we met and things we saw…but I think I’ll wait until next week when I’m fully rested so I can share all of the details with you with a clear, un-jet-lagged head! I can’t wait!

In the meantime, back home in Los Angeles my fabulous team had the honor of dressing some gorgeous models in custom Nikki Rich for the Genlux Magazine Fall Issue party. I am told they were all really lovely girls! They carried coveted Mahtab Mojab bags, and looked amazing in our gowns. The party was at the beautiful Sofitel hotel in Beverly Hills where drinks flowed and the crowd buzzed about the fashion.

As you know, we are so in love with Genlux Magazine and it was our honor to be included in the mix.

Have an amazing long weekend everybody! See you soon!

Shoes, bags, bracelets…I’m obsessed with accessories!

by  • August 14, 2013 • 2013 fashion trends for women, Accessories, Fashion, Latest fashion trends 2013, Latest fashion trends for women, Street Style, Styling, Uncategorized

Gems! I hope you’re all having an amazing week. We’ve been busy here in Los Angeles; packing for Tokyo, getting excited for the new website launch, designing for spring, talking to buyers about our Resort and Holiday collections…

It’s exhausting, but in a super amazing way!

On another note, while you know I am normally hyper-focused on fashion, some other things have been really catching my eye lately. If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen some of the pictures I posted today…the shoes…the gloves…the bracelets…

I’ve become a little obsessed with the shoes and accessories that we all know can really pull a look together, or change its direction altogether. If you read this blog regularly you know I’m always commenting on the shoes that celebrities and stylists pair with our custom designs, and you also know that I just love most of their choices.

Just this afternoon I was combing through the New York Times Style section when I came across a really fun “Street Style” slideshow featuring bracelets. So many funky styles…so many beautiful and creative bracelets.

…and speaking of creative bracelets, check out the beautiful ankle bracelets below.

    Have a happy Wednesday Gems!

Nikki Rich Fashion Trend Forecast: It’s All About The Little Black Dress!

by  • June 1, 2013 • Accessories, Fashion, Latest fashion trends for women, Shopping, Styling, Uncategorized

If there is one item you will always find in a fashion trend forecast, it’s a little black dress. Whose heart doesn’t race when they get their hands on the perfect one? If you’re anything like me, I’m sure you have had many, and I’m sure you’ve loved each and every one for very different reasons! When designing our summer capsule we just had to ask ourselves, what makes a little black dress special? What makes a particular little black dress jump off the racks and into your arms? Well, we thought about this quite a bit and what we came up with was our perfect little black dress, the Sapphire.

Crafted in dreamy, soft black modal, it’s the details that make this LBD stand way, way, way out from the crowd. From the sexy v-neck to the sexier halter style open back this dress will make you look hot but keep you feeling cool in the summer heat, and if you look a little closer you’ll be able to see the details of the delicate lace inserts we’ve positioned on either side of the dress.

We’ve styled the Sapphire here with an amazing vintage style belt, complete with an outrageously large round buckle, and a delicious pair of peep-toe booties.

…now grab your favorite little black dress and ROCK it!

Nikki Rich Loves “Punk: Chaos to Couture” at the Met (A Collection by Charlotte Olympia and Tom Binns)

by  • April 29, 2013 • Accessories, Editorial, Fashion, Shopping, Styling

While Richie and I work especially hard to make sure our collections are accessible, and we always try to make our pieces special, there is nothing that should ever stop you from putting your final stamp of style on what you choose to wear. If you know me, you know that I just love fashion, especially when something “simple” can be turned around in an instant, usually with the addition of an unexpected element of surprise in design. You really just need to know who you are and how to find what speaks to you.

Today I came across a piece in WWD describing how London-based shoe designer Charlotte Olympia Dellal and jewelry designer Tom Binns have come together to launch a limited-edition capsule collection to coincide with the opening of “Punk: Chaos to Couture” at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in Manhattan (note to self: go to this exhibit!).  The collection featured in the installment includes high, high, high heels and a clutch bag adorned with safety pins, and velvet loafers with neon embroidered cat faces on them. And I love them all because they truly encompass all things “unexpected.”

What “unexpected” things do you like to add to your look? I really hope you will please take a minute to tell me all about it. We can share ideas on the Nikki Rich Facebook wall today.

In the meantime, starting on May 2, the collection of shoes and bags will be sold exclusively at charlotteonlympia.com as well as the Charlotte Olympia Mayfair and Manhattan stores.
